Rajesh Bothra is a successful businessman from Singapore but born in India. According to Rajesh, secret to success in business is not to have a fear of new opportunities and challenges and to be prepared for obstacles on your way. Only those who want more than average in life are those who are ready and able to succeed.
One such man is Rajesh who tried his luck and skills to grow his business even abroad and managed to become CEO in Kobain that quickly became leading IT company and recognizable everywhere thanks to its brand Mercury. After offering his new brand to all countries around the globe, Rajesh became the pride of India. Their palette of products is large and that is one of the reasons why Kobian doesn’t have any competitors yet.
Rajesh’s family is Marwari and originally from the Rajasthan Churu district, Rajaldesar vilage. He was born 1968 in Mumbai in the well situated family. After he graduated Rajesh decided to leave studies disappointed with life in India and how educated people are treated. Seeing them doing low paid jobs without any chance to succeed, Rajesh found further studying as a waste of time and decide to start his own business with only 7,000 rupees he had in his pocket which was a gift from his mother. He was only 18 then and after only 4 years, as 22 years old he started earning 25,000 per day. He could live nicely with his family money, but he wanted to do something on his own and to make his parents proud.

His opinion about education changed later and he realized how important is education even for business people. He realized such knowledge he could use these days in his work and that is why he decided to continue his studying even he is successful businessman now. That way he wants to give good example to his children also and prevent them from making such mistake in life.

His dream was to continue the family business and he got full support from his parents who encouraged him, but he realized India isn’t the best place for business because he met many obstacles there daily, as well as other business people. Because of his often traveling to Hong Kong and Singapore, he found those places much better for business and he started thinking to move his business there.

1991 Rajesh married and came time to decide where to live and start his family. He had to choose between Dubai, Hong Kong and Singapore and he decided to move to Singapore, his business and home. His coice was Singapore not only because it was close to India but because of its similarity to India, from culture to lifestyle. There he found a good base for your business and safe place to start home.
After less than a year, 1992 he managed to become equal partner with owner of Kobian which was already running a company. Owner of Kobian was Mr. Nikhil Shah and he expanded the business with Rajesh becoming equal partners which resulted with company growth and a yearly turn over from half a million to 300 million S$.

Rajesh’s parents were those who gave him much support and encouragement but they died. His father died 11 years ago and mother only 4 year later. After that his biggest support was his wife Rashmi, and as all say behind every great man is a great woman, she is always by his side, in life and business. His children going to school still, son Harsha is 13 and daughter Divya is 10.
Rajesh also tries to give time as much as possible to his charity work and provision of his profit going to help poor people in India. His plan is to expand his charity work from India to Africa and Cambodia. Most of that money goes for food and his plan is to in recent future feed over 20,000 poor people in India which will then cover over 20 cities.
